        Weight Loss Surgery Cost. Gap Fee for Surgery - a Band is usually around $4350, a Sleeve around $6450, and revision surgery ranges in price. No gap bands are available for SOME patients.

        How Much Does it Cost?

        At Melbourne Bariatrics Peninsula a Gap fee applies for most bariatric surgery.

        The Gaps quoted below are estimates only and changes may apply without notice.

         

        For those with applicable Private Health Insurance

        + Gastric Sleeve - $6450

        + Gastric Band - $4350

        + Revision Surgery

        (Gaps vary from no Gap if the surgery was done within the past 5 years through Melbourne Bariatrics Peninsula through to $9000).

        Other service providers may also apply Gap fees, and these Gaps range from no Gap through to $2500.

         

        For those without applicable Private Health Insurance

        Through Melbourne Bariatrics Peninsula, self funded surgery is also available.

        The total fee would range from $18000 to $22000, which includes fees such as from the hospital, surgeon, anaesthetist, assistant surgeon etc.

        Some patients qualify for payment for surgery through Workcover and other support systems. Costs for these patients vary.

         

        Superannuation 

        Assistance with drawing funds from Superannuation can be provided if this is required.
