Mr Geoffrey Draper is a specialist surgeon who trained in General Surgery at Melbourne's Monash Medical Centre followed by advanced training in laparoscopic surgery in England at MATTU.

In particular his focus has been on laparoscopic stomach surgery and hernia surgery, with advanced training in weight loss surgery. Now, Mr Draper's main focus is weight loss surgery, in particular Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band, Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass surgery.... [more]

Practice Manager

Karen is the Practice Manager, but also is the smiling face at the reception desk and the friendly voice answering the phones. Karen is the first person to contact if you have an inquiry regarding any issue. From fees to dates for surgery, Karen will be able to answer your questions. And if Karen doesn't know, she will find out for you and get back to you.

When it comes to getting everything organised before surgery, Karen will make sure your experience is as smooth and low-stress as possible. Everything you need to do will be clearly written down for you and she will make most of the phone calls and save you a lot of running around.

Dy

Accounts

Dy does the accounts and does a fabulous job: she loves to get the job done very thoroughly. Dy knows all the ways to make sure the patients get the most out of their Medicare and Health Insurance claims.

Dy also answers phone enquiries and mans the reception desk sometimes.

Dy has lived on the Mornington Peninsula for years.

Kate

Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist, Diabetes Educator and Personal Trainer

Kate Save (Michelson) is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (Registered as both a Clinical and Sports Dietitian with the Dietitians Association of Australia and Sports Dietitians Australia) and an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (Registered with ESSA/AAESS) and has completed a double degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and Exercise Science at Deakin University. Kate also completed an Advanced Diploma in Diabetes Education at Curtin University.

Kate's main objective in her professional practice is to assist individuals to achieve optimal health and well-being through balanced nutrition and appropriate exercise prescription. Kate is also a personal trainer and works with clients of all ages ranging from school-age children through to older adults using a range of cardio, core and strength training techniques.

Dietitian

Jodie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (Registered with the Dietitians Association of Australia) and has completed a degree in Applied Science (Food Science and Nutrition) and has a Masters of Dietetics.

Jodie was a professional surfer who travelled the world with the Roxy Surf Team. Jodie still loves keeping fit even now as a mother too.

Marnie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (Registered with the Dietitians Association of Australia) and has completed a degree in Applied Science (Food Science and Nutrition) and has a Masters of Dietetics.

Marnie loves snow sports and is passionate about good food and coffee..

 

Prue

Dietitian

Prue is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (Registered with the Dietitians Association of Australia) and has completed a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Health Science and a Masters of Dietetics. She has a passion for helping others to achieve their goals, be it weight loss, health or fitness

Prue is also an accredited running coach with Athletics Victoria and has completed 3 marathons herself. She loves keeping fit through running and pilates and also enjoys good food and good wine.

I am a clinical psychologist who has been in private practice in the Frankston area for the past 7 years. As a clinical psychologist I am experienced in all areas of mental health including depression, anxiety, grief and loss but I also have a special interest in eating disorders and disordered eating. I have worked extensively with clients who are considering or who have had bariatric surgery and also those with issues such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder.

Counselling is considered to be the first line of treatment in eating disorders and something that should be done as an early intervention if possible.

Bariatric Nurse Coordinator

Sarah is the Bariatric Nurse Coordinator at Peninsula Private Hospital.

Sarah will meet you before your surgery at the Melbourne Bariatrics office at Peninsula Private Hospital. Sarah will make sure all the preoperative tests and evaluations have been completed and you are ready to proceed.

Sarah is a surgical nurse at Peninsula Private Hospital and may well be the nurse looking after you on the day of your surgery.

David

Staff Specialist Anaesthetist

Dr David Lindholm graduated from Monash University medical school with honours 1990. He completed his specialist Anaesthesia training 1997 at The Alfred. David worked as a full time staff specialist Anaesthetist at The Alfred until 2005 and completed further specialist training in Pain Medicine 2006.

Currently David is a visiting specialist in Pain Medicine at The Alfred on Wednesdays and private anaesthesia on the Mornington Peninsula for the rest of the week.

Craig

Surgical Assistant

Dr Craig Smith is a surgical assistant and a General Practitioner. When Craig is in the operating room he assists primarily in weight loss surgery and general surgery, and has considerable experience in both of these. When in his rooms at the Langwarrin Medical Clinic Craig is well known for being able to do minor procedures in the rooms, including vasectomy, skin cancer surgery and skin lumps.

Dr Roger Dielemans is a surgical Assistant. He works at a number of hospitals around the Mornington Peninsula area assisting surgeons in a wide number of operations.

He has worked with Mr Draper for over 5 years and is very experienced in weight loss surgery and general surgery, in particular laparoscopy.
